Amazon Go heading to UK
Amazon is eyeing a significant number of retail sites between 4,000 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft as it works towards bringing its Amazon Go cashierless stores to the UK, according to a report by The Sunday Times.
It could be looking to open as many as 3,000 of these stores around the world in the next few years, notes a Bloomberg article, citing people familiar with the matter.
Amazon declined to comment. It currently has four Amazon Go stores in play, three in Seattle and one in Chicago and is also looking at San Francisco and New York.
