Sainsbury’s, Asda deal a sign of disruptive times, L Marks
The Sainsbury’s/Asda mega merger proves that the retail landscape has changed, with consumers becoming more fluid, wanting both quality and low cost, according to Daniel Saunders, Chief Executive at innovation specialist and early-stage investor, L Marks.
He labels the deal “the biggest shakeup of the retail industry in decades…We’re in an incredibly exciting time where the rule book no longer exists and disruption in action is ripe for corporate innovation to flourish. L Marks is currently running five corporate accelerator programmes, including one with shopping centre owner, intu. It has also worked with John Lewis on its JLAB initiative.
