Five stand out retail tech funding rounds in 2019
RTIH rounds up the retail technology startups who have made waves with major investments this year.
1.) PayPal leads major Happy Returns investment round
US startup Happy Returns has closed a $11 million funding round headed up by PayPal.
2.) SOMA lands government funding, eyes Series A round
Helsinki-based blockchain-powered social marketplace SOMA has closed a €1.1 billon bridge funding round, which includes the Finnish Government and private angel investors.
3.) CoGo secures £300K for UK expansion
Ethical consumer mobile app CoGo recently announced a £300,000 funding round led by members of investment platform Conduit Connect and a series of angel investors and family offices.
4.) Kurly wraps major Market Kurly Series D round
Kurly, the South Korean company behind online grocery delivery platform Market Kurly, has completed a KRW 100 billion ($88 million) Series D funding round. Investors included Sequoia Capital China and Global Venture Partners.
5.) ThousandEyes pulls in more funding
ThousandEyes has raised $50 million in a Series D round led by GV (formerly Google Ventures), bringing its total funding to more than $110 million.
