Mike Cadden departs VIA Outlets for Office Depot

Mike Cadden has left VIA Outlets where, for the past three years, he held the position of Group IT Director. He is moving on to Office Depot as IT Director (Sales, Marketing and Customer Service).

VIA Outlets was established in 2014 to acquire and manage premium outlet centres across Europe. It now operates 11 centres in nine countries, including Sevilla Fashion Outlet and Oslo Fashion Outlet.

In September last year, Hammerson and APG became the sole owners of the company, following their buyout of partners Value Retail and Meyer Bergman. “It's been an absolute honour and pleasure to have been VIA's Group IT Director,” Cadden said in a LinkedIn post.

“This journey has been one of the best of my career, with a company that exploded out of the blocks and is still driving forward. I've worked with, and become great friends with, some of the best people I've ever met and worked alongside; dedicated, focused, highly intelligent but more than anything just really nice people who have made most days a joy.”

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being such a large part of this voyage, almost from it's inception to the success VIA Outlets is today, but sometimes you have to move on and now is the right time for me to look forward to my next challenge and adventure. And I have to say I am really excited about what is coming next,” he added.

VIA Outlets did not respond to our request for information on his successor.
