Best Buy loses Chief Digital Officer

Best Buy’s Chief Digital Officer, Bala Subramanian, has departed the retailer for wireless communications giant AT&T.

He has been replaced by Brian Tilzer, formerly Chief Digital Officer at CVS Health. During his nearly six-year tenure at Best Buy, Subramanian oversaw its digital and e-commerce strategy, which included using its stores as a distribution network as well as showrooms for customers to test products. The programme has proved to be a success, helping Best Buy on its way to better than expected Q4 results and a 2019 outlook above analysts' estimates.
