Avon has announced the appointment of Nick Burton as VP Digital Development.
It calls the move “a cornerstone of the strategy to open up Avon as it digitises the business, rejuvenates the brand, and e-enables its millions of representatives to become online beauty entrepreneurs - selling through e-commerce and social networks.”
Burton joins from Belron - known for brands such as Autoglass – where he led the IT and digital function and served on the Group’s Commercial Executive team. He comments: “It’s terrific to be joining such an iconic brand at such an exciting moment in the company’s transformation. The power of the Avon model is tremendous: six million Avon representatives and their customers … that’s six million micro-influencers and online beauty entrepreneurs. Our role is to deliver the tools and service they need to build and grow their businesses online.”
