Simon Wainwright is starting a new position as Head of Insight & Analytics at Domino’s Pizza UK & Ireland.
He was previously at Advantage Group International and his CV also includes stints at Tesco and IGD.
In a LinkedIn post, he said: "Delighted to be back on the consumer side again looking at how consumers think, feel and act in the world of food service. I'm sure my experience at Tesco, IGD and Advantage Group International will all serve me well. I've even managed to earn a few "cool points" from the kids for working for such a cool and popular brand. Wish me luck. As Domino's say, we got this."
Gaming
Domino’s is focusing on pizza lovers and gamers through a new collaboration with Minecraft Dungeons II.
Starting 26th October, customers who purchase a Domino, the brand’s new Detroit style pizza made for one, can get one of six collectible Minecraft Dungeons II themed pizza boxes, while Domino’s Rewards members who order online can unlock exclusive in-game items. Domino’s is also giving away 20,000 digital copies of Minecraft Dungeons II.
"We're always looking for new ways to bring customers closer to the brands and experiences they love,” says Kate Trumbull, Domino's Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
“When we launched the Domino, we saw an opportunity to think beyond the pizza itself and create experiences that surprise and delight customers. Minecraft Dungeons II is all about teaming up with friends for epic adventures, and the Domino is built for those same moments. With its block shape and customisable toppings, it felt right at home in the game’s action packed universe, giving players an easy way to fuel up before jumping into battle.”
"With its block shape, playful spirit and perfect for gaming format, the Domino felt right at home in the Minecraft Dungeons II universe. Together, we're turning every purchase into an adventure, giving fans exclusive content, collectible items, and a chance to bring their love of pizza and gaming together. Whether you're teaming up with friends or braving the unknown, this partnership makes it even more rewarding to join the action.”
The Domino’s and Minecraft Dungeons II collaboration is part of a broader global roll-out covering: Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Netherlands, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey.
