American Express and Home Bargains have signed a new agreement meaning Amex is now accepted as a payment method both in-person and online at the UK discount retailer.

Dan Edelman, UK General Manager, Merchant Services at American Express, says: “We are committed to ensuring our card members can use their card wherever they live, work and travel. We’re delighted that American Express is now accepted by Home Bargains, one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers. This agreement reinforces our strong merchant coverage nationwide, which has tripled since 2021.”

Phil Hoad, Group Finance Director at Home Bargains, says: “We’re delighted to now accept American Express both in our stores and online, giving customers even more choice and convenience when shopping with us."

"We know many of our customers value the flexibility that American Express provides, and we’re pleased to make it easier for them to pay in the way that suits them best while continuing to offer the top brands at bottom prices they’re used to.”
