Amazon snaps up Body Labs
Amazon has acquired Body Labs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The New York-based startup, which confirmed the acquisition on its website, specialises in 3D body scanning and modelling software for fashion and gaming applications.
What next for Amazon and Body Labs?
Details of Amazon’s plans for the company are sketchy at present, although it could use Body Labs’ employees and technology to boost its fashion business. The e-tailer has been developing its own private-label fashion brands and it launched Amazon Prime Wardrobe earlier this year.
