Amazon takes online delivery to next level

Amazon is so cool/creepy (delete where applicable). The e-commerce giant has been working on an initiative which will see packages dropped off directly into shoppers' homes, without anyone having to be there.

Amazon Key, which works with the new Amazon Cloud Cam solution and a smart lock, is a service exclusively for Prime members that enables in-home delivery and service appointments. Couriers scan a package barcode and once the delivery has been verified online, the camera starts recording and the delivery person is able to unlock the door using an app. Customers can track each delivery with notifications, watch the entry happen live or view a recorded video after delivery is complete.
