Samsung Pay lands 2.5m users in India

Over the past month, Samsung Pay has added another one million users in India, taking the total number in the country to 2.5 million.

The service is currently available on 26 devices, up from 10 when it officially debuted in early 2017. And it’s supported by ten banks and seven local card issuers. Samsung now holds a 47% share of the Indian mobile payments market. India places third out of 20 countries where Samsung Pay is in use. South Korea leads the way, followed by Russia.
