DW Sports chooses intu for bricks and mortar first

Sports retailer, DW Sports, has chosen intu Metrocentre in Gateshead to launch its 15,000 sq ft flagship store.

Matt Sharpe, Retail Director at DW Sports, says: “Whilst the DW Fitness First Group already operate many stores and gyms across the UK, this is our first store in a major scheme. The north east is synonymous with sport and sporting culture, so the centre’s location, popularity and high footfall fits perfectly with our strategy to be the ‘go to’ sports retailer, encouraging everyone to be active and participate in sport.”
