Park Group lands big hitters for CFO, CIO roles

UK gift voucher and prepaid gift card provider, Park Group, has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Tim Clancy is taking on the former role, after spending the last seven years as European CFO for insurance giant Assurant. Before that, he was Commercial Finance Director at Shop Direct Group and held MD roles at MyTravel and Airtours.

Steve Miller, former Head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Cheshire and European CIO at Standard Chartered Bank, is the company’s first ever CIO. “By thinking ‘digital first’, but without compromising our decades-long dedication to our customers, we can really build something special on the solid foundations we already have here at Park,” he says.

“Over the years our products have evolved from paper to plastic, to digital and e-codes and now fully virtual solutions, and we will continue to stay ahead of the curve. We will also continue to find ways to make the customer experience an ever-more seamless journey, whatever channel they choose to use and however they interact with us. Our customer base is increasingly online, on mobile or virtual so, as Steve Jobs once said: ‘We need to start with the customer and work backwards to the technology’ - which is what we are working through right now.”

Park Group CEO Ian O’Doherty adds: “The leadership experience and business capabilities Tim and Steve bring with them are unquestionable, and I’ve no doubt they will be instrumental in terms of helping to drive our growth.”
