Starship Technologies building robotic technology community
Self-driving robot delivery startup, Starship Technologies, has launched a blog series which will chronicle its journey from initial concepts to the present day.
Two blogs go live today. ‘Hello, Robot’ looks back on testing the robots in cities (disguised as trash bags so no-one could see what they looked like) to commercial deployment at scale (this time carrying shopping bags). ‘Neural Networks’ explores how brain-inspired neural networking gives its robots the ability to recognise their surroundings and react to situations in real-time.
Lex Bayer, Starship’s CEO, says: “We want to share our journey with everyone through our blogs, to convey the amazing potential to change delivery services for good by providing convenience to everyone who has ever felt the frustration of a missed delivery. Robots will become more commonplace and having access to knowledge hubs like ours will benefit all.”
