Alibaba Group’s cross-border e-commerce channel, Tmall Global, is set to open six new procurement centres to “help overseas vendors capture Chinese consumers’ booming appetite for newer and better imported goods”, Tmall President Jet Jing has announced.
“This year, we are committed to offer our overseas merchants more personalised and customised solutions so they can receive faster and more direct assistance from the platform, which enable them to accelerate their growth in China,” he says.
The centres will be situated in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, North America, Europe and Oceania. Opening dates have not yet been disclosed. Further details here.
