Walmart files smart shopping, inventory patents
Walmart has filed a series of patents related to the supply chain and in-store experience.
One of them proposes a sensing device for a smart shopping cart that communicates with a mobile device. Another tracks users through wearables, whilst others focus on determining stock levels. Walmart is also circling drones that would assist customers in-store and autonomous tech for detecting items placed in a container as well as a vehicle content identification system.
