Customer milestone for Tesco Pay+

Tesco reports that its mobile payments app, Tesco Pay+, has reached 500,000 downloads following its relaunch in September last year. 

To encourage take up, it is rewarding customers with additional Clubcard points until 31st December. Customers using the service will get one extra point per £4 spent in-store or at Tesco petrol stations.

“We know that speed and convenience are really important factors for our customers when shopping in stores. Tesco Pay+ was designed to help customers to both pay for their shopping, up to the value of £250, and collect Clubcard points with just one scan of their mobile phone," says Mark Loch, Digital Wallet and Group Payments Strategy Director.

“Since we rolled out the app, we have seen customers really embrace the technology. Over 500,000 Tesco Pay+ customers marks both our dedication to the development of Tesco Pay+ as well as our continued commitment to offering genuinely helpful services to our customers.”
