LivingPackets has package delivery status quo in its sights

Raising awareness for a new idea and shaking up the current status quo are the biggest challenges currently faced by startup LivingPackets.

The venture is introducing the concept of ‘Internet of Parcels’ to disrupt the courier and postal industries, tapping the latest technology and the crowdshipping model to reduce the carbon footprint of B2B parcels. In an interview with RTIH, Marie Le Page, CEO, LivingPackets UK, says: “We launched the service at the end of 2017. We are an innovative concept in international delivery of packages, secure and sustainable, currently between London and Paris via existing travellers; across borders within a few hours. Combining the speed and convenience of crowd shipping, with a courier model and drop off/collection points, but unlike crowd shipping which is purely C2C our service supports the business community. We’re challenging traditional parcel deliveries by facilitating cost-effective DTC (Door To Customer) e-commerce deliveries for all businesses, whether online or bricks and mortar retailers.”

The company has spent two years in R&D, developing the LivingPacket bag - in different sizes - to be a safe, secure and reliable way of transporting small parcels. “The smart packaging is optimised, designed to be tracked in real-time to ensure secure shipments, and helps businesses save costs on additional packaging, with cost-effective delivery costs, and reduce their carbon footprint,” says Le Page.

She adds: “Small retailers are bound by systems which work for the e-commerce giants. LivingPackets offers them an alternative, more competitive, international same-day delivery option. We are currently in Beta phase, going through proof of concept.”
