Tesco Pay+ keeps on growing

Tesco reports that payments via its mobile app, Tesco Pay+, now take place every 1.5 seconds across the UK.

The service recently reached 500,000 customers, following a relaunch in September last year. More than £5 million payments are made per week, with 10,000 new customers getting onboard over the last seven days.

“We know that speed and convenience are really important factors for our customers when shopping in stores. Tesco Pay+ was designed to help customers to both pay for their shopping, up to the value of £250, and collect Clubcard points with just one scan of their mobile phone," says Mark Loch, Digital Wallet and Group Payments Strategy Director.

“Since we rolled out the app, we have seen customers really embrace the technology. Over 500,000 customers marks both our dedication to the development of Tesco Pay+ as well as our continued commitment to offering genuinely helpful services to our customers.”
