Poq pulls in further funding

Poq has raised £9.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Smedvig Capital and also including previous backers Beringea and Revolt Ventures. It brings the total amount raised by the app commerce specialist to £16.5 million since it was founded in 2011.

The cash will help Poq drive growth in the UK and Europe, as well as in the US, where it plans to open offices. The US market currently accounts for 20% of the London-based company’s revenue. Jonathan Lerner, Managing Director at Smedvig Capital, says: “We have been following Poq for a long time, and have watched its blue-chip client list and top-quality team grow at a fantastic pace. We are very excited to join them as they continue building the clear category leader in the fast-growing app commerce space.”
