Albertsons preps Stateside Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage roll-out

Albertsons has implemented Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage at its Norwalk beverage plant and plans to roll-out the solution across all its manufacturing plants Stateside.

After Albertsons and Safeway merged in 2015 to create the second-largest food and drug retailer in the country, the company looked to replace a legacy system with a cloud-based solution that could be easily implemented across the new enterprise without the need for custom modifications.

Specifically, Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage will provide a standard solution to support milk, bread and grocery manufacturing plants across the company while also integrating with the technology the company had to support sales, production, finance and inventory operations.

Infor leverages ION MEC as the integration standard to internal solutions providing the interface between the Cloudsuite Food & Beverage application and other Infor applications. Albertsons is also in the process of implementing Infor software for product lifecycle management with Optiva. In addition, it uses Workforce Management Time & Attendance, Lawson Financials and warehouse management system.

"With manufacturing plants across the country producing a variety of products, we needed a solution that would not require customisation,” says Rucha Nanavati, Group Vice President, IT at Albertsons Companies. “We appreciate Infor’s partnership and ability to address the complexities of unifying our technology system.”
