Alibaba's Singles' Day 2019: Five key takeaways

Earlier this week, we reported that Alibaba's annual Singles’ Day had notched up $38.4 billion in sales.

This record breaking number was driven by new consumption patterns and brands, emerging e-commerce shopping demographics and new shopping experiences, according to Alibaba Group Executive Chairman and CEO Daniel Zhang.
