Pizza Express Woking inundated with fake reviews after Prince Andrew interview

Pizza Express Woking has been flooded with fake reviews after Prince Andrew claimed during a controversial BBC Newsnight interview that he dined there 18 years ago.

The Duke said he had taken his daughter Princess Beatrice to the restaurant chain on the night he is accused of sleeping with Virginia Roberts, whom he allegedly met via convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

His comments sparked a flurry of tongue-in-cheek online reviews. One said: "Not my local branch but I had a great alibi, sorry, meal with my kids here in March. I loved the dough balls and the pollo pesto, great service as always. Can always rely on Pizza Express for a royally good time."

Another wrote: "I very much enjoyed my visit here...right down to the last slice. I've stayed at many a mansion of billionaires and been to some amazing night clubs, but I can't remember anything about them, only my visit to Pizza Express in Woking. So that tells you how much I enjoyed eating there. Unforgettable that's what you are."

Pizza Express even got in on the act, tweeting: “9.00pm - Switch off computer..... 10:00pm 120 messages on work WhatsApp group telling you to 'check Twitter now”.

I was in Pizza Express Woking at the time of the incident…It’s like something out of Little Britain, innit.
