Judges’ comments on Starship Technologies included:
“They are the leaders in last mile delivery for groceries. Whilst Co-op and Amazon were early adopters, everyone else has followed suit. They already have a good level of market share in this fast-growing sector of the market.”
“Innovation which also helps the community as well as the environment, this is the future of retail delivery services.”
“Impressed by the number of retailers (Tesco, Co-op) that have partnered with Starship. Also good use of an appropriate technology around university campuses in the USA and Estonia. They are addressing a big challenge around last mile delivery costs, and they are more environmentally sound than many other delivery options.”
