Aspectiva joins Walmart Store N° 8 roster
Walmart has acquired Israeli-based natural language processing startup, Aspectiva, for an undisclosed sum.
It will be joining Store N° 8, the incubation arm launched by the retailer in 2017. “Store N° 8’s record of innovation and of developing capabilities that will transform retail as we know it makes for the perfect environment to leverage Aspectiva’s technology throughout the shopping funnel,” says Ezra Daya, CEO at Aspectiva.
No news yet as to whether Aspectiva will build a standalone service or work on tech for Walmart’s omnichannel offering as it continues to take the fight to Amazon.
