Ocado announces Coles CFC deal
Ocado has inked a partnership agreement with Australia’s Coles Group, its fifth major overseas deal in the past couple of years. It made the announcement on Twitter this morning.
Two customer fulfilment centres (CFCs) will be built and go live within four years, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne. Coles will fork out $130 million to $150 million during this period, including fees paid to Ocado.
The agreement is exclusive in Australia as long as certain conditions are maintained. It builds on Ocado’s deals with US giant Kroger Co, Casino in France, Sobeys in Canada, and ICA Group in Sweden.
