Klarna brings 'more payment flexibility to in-store environment'
Klarna has announced that all its UK payment options, including Pay later and its consumer finance service, are now available both in-store as well as online.
Customers will be able to pay via their smartphones at the till by either scanning a QR code on a retailer’s screen or by being sent an SMS or email with a payment link. The company says that it is making this move because “the majority of retail transactions in the UK still take place in-store” and it wants to support its multi-channel clients.
Luke Griffiths, General Manager at Klarna UK, comments: “Shoppers today want more control over their buying experience. Our mission is to make payments as seamless and stress-free as possible. We’re now bringing more payment flexibility to the in-store environment, so shoppers can move smoothly through the purchase journey, whether they choose to shop online or on the High Street.”
