eBay preps cryptocurrencies move, ads suggest
eBay is readying support for virtual currencies and digital collectables, new promotional adverts have hinted.

The ads were spotted at the Consensus conference, taking place this week. in New York. They have yet to be confirmed by eBay, but, if legitimate, the move would be a huge boost for the cryptocurrencies space, opening it up to millions of buyers.
This is getting serious
A couple of years back, Senior VP of eBay Americas, Scott Cutler, said the company was very interested in Bitcoin payments.
“This is a trend that everybody is talking about, but sadly we don’t currently accept Bitcoin as a form of payment,” he commented. “We’re seriously considering it as these cryptocurrencies become more of a mainstream payment instrument, but we’re not quite there yet.”
