Walmart expands partnership with Path Forward

After a launch last year in its Sunnyvale and San Bruno offices, Walmart is rolling out its Path Forward return to work programme across a number of locations, including San Bruno, Sunnyvale, and Carlsbad, CA; Bentonville, AR; and Reston, VA.

Up for grabs are job opportunities with the retailer’s technology division, Walmart Labs. “We are looking for up to 100 candidates (over triple the number in 2018) across all locations to pursue roles in areas such as engineering, user experience, product management, and data science,” says Bobbie Grafeld, Vice President of People, Walmart Labs.

The four-month programme is open to women and men who have at least five years of work experience and who took a career pause of at least two years for caregiving. In addition to professional development workshops, participants will have access to networking opportunities across the Walmart and Path Forward communities.

The 2018 cohort included more than 30 women, about three quarters of which accepted full-time roles with Walmart.
