Former Sainsbury’s boss Justin King onboard with Rezolve
Justin King, former Sainsbury’s CEO, has taken an undisclosed stake in mobile commerce venture Rezolve and will also serve as Senior International Advisor.
Rezolve is the brainchild of Dan Wagner who, you might remember, headed up another mobile retail outfit, Powa. This was once feted as one of the UK’s great tech hopes, but collapsed three years ago after burning through millions of pounds of investors’ money.
“I have been watching the development of Rezolve under the leadership of Dan Wagner for some time,” says King. “He leads a team of impressive technology entrepreneurs and I believe that I will be able to add significant value at this pivotal moment in the future of payments and the role that Rezolve is taking in this change. Its mobile technology has the potential to be a game changer making it much easier for customers to interact, select and pay for goods and services.”
Wagner comments: “Justin is a true business visionary and we welcome his vast experience of running businesses across various sectors. He also has a deep understanding of the ever-changing nature of the mobile commerce market. Rezolve’s vision is about creating seamless experience across all purchase channels in an always-connected digital landscape where consumers are constantly on the move. We know that Justin gets this from getting to know him over this last year and we are delighted to welcome him and his decades of experience.”
