Match.com owner enlists Adyen for 3D Secure 2.0 deployment
Adyen is rolling out its 3D Secure 2.0 offering to Meetic Group, the company behind dating site Match.com.
The successor to 3D Secure, 2.0 authentication is currently being tested on transactions made in a number of countries across Europe. Following the adoption of PSD2, businesses have until September this year to ensure they are compliant. From 2020, 3D Secure 2.0 will be deployed worldwide and most banks plan to remove the old protocol by the end of 2020.

"It is fundamental that we meet the requirements of the PSD2. In addition to the regulatory aspect, this evolution allows us to improve a key contact point of our customer journey and to strengthen our efforts to protect against fraud,” says Aude Kuznik, Payment Manager at Meetic Group.
“We also hope for an increase in authorisation rates. Thanks to Adyen, we are well ahead of the market, allowing us to guarantee our users optimal online transactions when 3D Secure 2 is mandatory.”
