ASICS venture arm backs Aura Vision

Aura Vision, a UK startup that provides in-store data analytics to retailers, has closed a $1.1 million seed round, involving a mix of angel investors, angel funds and corporate venture funds.

These include the venture arm of ASICS and Pioneer Fund. “Aura Vision’s unique system will help us to make our owned stores more attractive for customers,” says ASICS Ventures President, Hiroaki Kageyama.

The money will be used to fund new hires in order to continue development and sales of the company’s offering. “We’re excited to have this investment from so many brilliant partners. We have ambitious plans to be the source of in-store analytics data for all retailers, and this funding will help us to reach and serve them,” comments CEO, Daniel Martinho-Corbishley.
