Outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Tiso has appointed Stuart McMillan as Head of Multi-channel.
McMillan, who made the announcement on Twitter, joins from schuh, where he took on the role of Deputy Head of E-commerce in 2012 and six years later was promoted to Head of E-commerce (Optimisation). He has also held e-commerce positions at AllSaints.
In June, RTIH interviewed Chris Tiso , CEO, Tiso Group. “Retail has certainly got more competitive and I think it will only get more so. So it’s a challenge and an opportunity,” he said. “It may be a cliché, but the tougher something is, the more it brings out the best. It forces companies like us to be self-scrutinising and critical, as well as imaginative and creative about how we evolve to remain relevant to changing consumer demands and expectations.”
“The customer wants different things and experiences, and in different ways, and we’ve got to meet those expectations in order to survive. We have to be original and good at what we do – and that is a real call to action,” he added.
