Caper pockets $10 million in funding
Smart grocery cart startup Caper has closed a $10 million Series A led by Lux Capital. The round also saw participation from First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Hardware Club, FundersClub, Sidekick Fund and Red Apple Group.
The venture has now raised $13 million. “Over the coming year, Caper plans to deploy over 1,000 carts to grocers across the US. With nearly 40,000 stores in their sights (and perhaps a few other ideas up their sleeves), the Caper team is just getting started and we’re thrilled to be joining them on this journey to make shopping magic,” Lux Capital said in a Medium post.
