Super Saturday to lead the way this Christmas, Sensormatic Solutions

Sensormatic Solutions has predicted the top five busiest UK shopping days for peak trading 2019, using its ShopperTrak index which is based on more than 1.5 million data collection devices in the retail marketplace, and the 40 billion shopper visits it captures each year. 

These are:

1. 21st Dec – Super Saturday (last Saturday before Christmas)

2. 30th Nov – Saturday of Black Friday weekend

3. 14th Dec – Second last Saturday before Christmas

4. 7th Dec – First Saturday in December

5. 27th Dec – Day after Boxing Day

Whilst Black Friday (29th November) isn’t in the top five, 30th November does make the cut, demonstrating the continued importance of the discount day in driving in-store footfall and building momentum into the peak season.
