Vaimo enlists Sumo Logic for retail security project

Vaimo has selected Sumo Logic to provide security analytics for its e-commerce services.

The Magento and Adobe Commerce Cloud provider works with more than 450 brands, including Jaguar, Helly Hansen, Jack Daniels and Dyson. With operations across 15 countries, it uses its own hybrid cloud to deliver services to customers. With more than 1,000 servers distributed worldwide alongside an integration with content delivery network provider Cloudflare, Vaimo required a security analytics platform that could gather all this machine data in one place and make it valuable for the business.

It uses Sumo Logic to gather metrics and logs across its cloud operations, carry out analytics and detect potential attacks on its infrastructure more efficiently. The implementation has made it easier for the company to comply with security and compliance regulations such as GDPR and the standards set out by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.

“The brands we work with want to know they are secure and that their customers are getting the best possible experience whatever happens. With Sumo Logic, we can meet both these criteria,” comments Wilko Nienhaus, Chief Technology Officer at Vaimo.

“For example, we can automatically evaluate and track good customer behaviour on our clients’ websites for security – however this also means we can eliminate tools like CAPTCHAs that irritate or get in the way of human customers carrying out their shopping. For brands, this smarter approach to security helps them improve their customer experience too.”
