Adyen inks Subway US and Canada payments deal

Adyen has announced a payments partnership with Subway, covering North America.

It will provide automated onboarding for franchisees and support for preferred payment methods, including mobile wallet, loyalty rewards, in-app payments, PoS terminals and gift cards.

The deal closely follows another major tie up in the food and beverage industry. In December, Adyen said it would power international mobile app payments for McDonald’s, starting in the UK in 2020.

"As we continue our digital push to offer our guests greater convenience and more options, Adyen's payment platform will further allow Subway to bring the latest digital payment technologies to market, while removing operational complexities for our franchise owners."
