Asda Stevenage store tests out chocolate and fragrance solutions
Asda has launched a personalised chocolate machine at its innovation store in Stevenage.
It will be testing out the Candy Mechanics solution over the next three months, with customers able to choose a template, customise it and then watch the machine work its magic.
Also at the Stevenage store, the retailer has launched Fragrance Point in its health and beauty aisle. This is a self-service kiosk with over 300 fragrance lines, from Vera Wang to Hugo Boss, that customers can browse, purchase and get delivered to their home.
Asda, which earlier this year launched a new sustainability store in Leeds and is involved in various “test and learn” initiatives under CEO Roger Burnley, is trialling a number of other technologies at Stevenage.
These include 3D holograms and electronic shelf labels, further info on which can be found here.
