Sarah Haywood lands probably the best job in the retail tech world
Sarah Haywood has taken on the role of Chief Information Officer at Carlsberg Group.
Haywood was previously Chief Technology Officer at the Danish multinational brewer, a position she held for almost three years.
Her CV also includes stints at Mondelēz International as Senior Director Information Systems - Global Sales & Marketing and Cadbury as Director Information Systems - Global Service Delivery.
“So today I officially take over the reins as CIO at Carlsberg - I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as CTO and I’m excited to be taking the next step as CIO for this amazing company,” she said in a LinkedIn post.
“Thank you to Cees 't Hart (Carlsberg Group CEO and President) and Heine Dalsgaard (Group Chief Financial Officer) for putting your trust in me and a massive thank you to Mark Dajani (CIO and SVP Global Business Services) without your support, coaching and patience I wouldn’t be here.”
Jon Cleaver
Yesterday, we reported that Jon Cleaver was departing In The Style, where he served as Chief Technology Officer, to take on the same position at KLEKT.
“It's been one hell of a journey with many ups and downs along the way, but on balance it has been a very interesting, valuable 30 months of my career. I personally have learned a lot and the team have achieved a great deal,” he said in a LinkedIn post.
“The massive highlight being our app reaching number one in the Apple Shopping charts, smashing billion pound brands (albeit for a short time). None of this would've been possible without my team who have been truly outstanding during my tenure,” he added
Other highlights included getting Magento 1.X to process 60 orders a second, which was done on a budget of less than £1 million per annum and with seven people.
“Truly incredible really to think that relative businesses will have 10 x that number of people and budget and still don't achieve anything like that (if you know you know),” Cleaver commented.
As for KLEKT, he said he was confident the sneaker and streetwear brand could grow the business to be a contender with GOAT and Stock X over the next couple of years.
In addition to In The Style, Cleaver has also served as CTO at Sofology
