Westfield targets students with retail entrepreneurs podcast series
Westfield has announced a new How I Got Here podcast series which shares the stories of retail entrepreneurs with students as they start a new academic year amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Launched to coincide with Westfield’s annual Student Event Week, giving young people exclusive discounts and offers across its London shopping centres, the podcast is hosted by BBC 1xtra presenter Reece Parkinson.
For the first time ever, Student Lounges have opened at both Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City. Attendees can pick up free snacks, take selfies and receive a goody bag with a list of exclusive offers from the likes of Footasylum, MAC, All Saints and Tommy Hilfiger.
Alyson Hodkinson, General Manager at Westfield Stratford City, comments: “As we can’t host our full scale Student Event in person this year we wanted to reach our younger visitors in a new way.”
“The How I Got Here podcast is a great way to share the stories of the entrepreneurs and retailers from our centres with students. We still have some fantastic exclusive offers at the Student Lounges to give a great experience, bringing those new to London into our centres safely.”
