RTIH Innovation Awards showcases leading global retailers

2020 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS OVERALL SPONSOR

RTIH recently announced the launch of its 2020 Innovation Awards.

This includes a Most Innovative Global Retailer category.

Last year, Walmart emerged victorious, impressing our judges with the introduction of InHome Delivery.

It also “leased floors” in a new virtual store called KidHQ. Whilst Walmart Canada partnered with DLT Labs to launch a blockchain-based freight and payment network.

But who will win out in 2020?

Regular readers will know that throughout the year we’ve been flagging up a wide range of forward thinking retail tech initiatives (examples of which can be found here and here).

In November, we will be putting together a shortlist of the coolest tech plays in 2020 across nine categories.

We will then ask our judging panel to vote for their favourites. The panel consists of:

Mike Cadden, IT Director (Sales, Marketing and Customer Services), Office Depot

Sharon Peters, Head Of Technology - Marks and Spencer, HR, Finance, Corporate Services and M&S Bank

Sophie Baron, Founder, Mamamade

Hayley Meenan-Wilkin, Web Trading Management, Ocado.com

Martin Newman, Founder, The Customer First Group

Tiffany Lung, Retail Analyst

Nadine Neatrour, Chief Customer Officer, ByTerry

Luke Phillips, Program Director, Studio Retail

Glen Richardson, CMO and CTO, Ideal Shopping Direct

Gerald Dawson, Finance Director, Forthglade Foods

Andy Mulcahy, Strategy and Insight Director, IMRG

Simon Curtis, Sales and Marketing Director, PMC Retail

The winners will be revealed throughout December.
