Best Buy announces Instacart same day delivery tie up

Best Buy has partnered with Instacart to offer same-day delivery across the entire US.

This will cover almost all of the retailer’s locations in the country.

The partnership is significant for Instacart as the company expands beyond its initial grocery delivery ambitions.

It’s also a big deal for Best Buy, which until now has used the likes of FedEx, UPS, and the USPS, for delivery. Those services are reliable, but they also tend to be slower unless either the retailer or the customer pays extra.

"This year we've expanded our offering with new and existing partners in order to provide even more selection and value to customers. As people settle into remote work and distance learning routines, we've seen increased demand for the same-day delivery of electronics on our marketplace," says Chris Rogers, Vice President of Retail at Instacart.

"We're proud to partner with Best Buy - the largest consumer electronics retailer in the US - to offer customers across the country a new way to get the technology products they need delivered same-day.”

Instacart will offer hundreds of Best Buy products for same-day delivery at $3.99 per order, including home appliances and home office essentials, although there will be a $500 limit.
