Lolli follows Kroger Bitcoin partnership with eBay tie up

Bitcoin rewards startup Lolli has announced a partnership with eBay ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Its users can now earn 1% back in Bitcoin when they shop from eBay’s marketplace.

“We are thrilled to partner with eBay, the largest online auction marketplace, and give over 127 million eBay users the opportunity to earn Bitcoin back on their orders,” says Alex Adelman, CEO and Co-founder, Lolli.

“eBay made online shopping more accessible to the world for the past 25 years. Today, we are proud to partner and make Bitcoin more accessible to those users and continue our mission of furthering bitcoin education and adoption.”

Kroger

Lolli also recently announced a partnership with Kroger, enabling users to earn up to 1.5% Bitcoin back on grocery orders for pickup or delivery.

Funding round

Earlier this year, Lolli closed a $3 million Seed II funding round led by Pathfinder, the early-stage investment arm of Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.

Other investors included beauty entrepreneur Michelle Phan and actor Ashton Kutcher’s VC firm Sound Ventures, Craft Ventures, Company Ventures, Adam Leber, Abe Burns, and Chapter One Ventures.

The funding was used to launch Lolli’s mobile app and expand the US-based company internationally. It has now raised around $5.4 million in total capital.
