Trax brings Retail Watch solution to China
Trax has launched its Retail Watch grocery store monitoring and intelligence solution in China.
This combines Trax’s proprietary computer vision and machine learning technologies with its Internet of Things-enabled shelf-edge and ceiling cameras and autonomous robots to provide real-time visibility of products.

“Retailers have been trying to solve the perennial out-of-stock problem with humans for ages, but manually collected data is simply not accurate nor frequent enough,” says James Tang, General Manager and President, Greater China at Trax.
He adds: “Automated shelf conditions data measures what shoppers are seeing in real-time and provides a third layer of insights to supplement inventory and sales data.”
“Automated solutions are necessary for optimising retailers' operational efficiency and driving consumer purchasing decisions, while also allowing store associates to focus on where they are needed most -- with the shoppers.”
This year, Trax has deployed Retail Watch with Auchan Retail in Portugal and partnered with Deloitte Digital to offer it to Deloitte’s grocery retail customers in Spain.
