Sue Harries takes on new e-commerce role at Kingfisher

Sue Harries has moved from Kingfisher’s Screwfix brand to become the retailer’s Group E-commerce Director.

“Sue has played such a huge part in our growth throughout her 15 years at Screwfix, in Commercial Finance, Trade Counters and, most recently, building our web proposition as our Director of E-commerce,” Screwfix said in a LinkedIn post.

JJ Van Oosten

Earlier this year, we reported that JJ Van Oosten had rejoined Kingfisher (which, in addition to Screwfix, also owns B&Q) as Chief Customer and Digital Officer.

He previously spent three years there as Group IT Director back in the mid-late noughties. His CV also includes spells as Chief Digital Officer at the Lego Group and Chief Technology Officer at Richemont.

“JJ is an experienced digital leader with a track record of driving change in international companies,” said Thierry Garnier, CEO at Kingfisher. “He has a key role to play at Kingfisher as we look to accelerate our digital and data capabilities and grow e-commerce sales.”

Van Oosten commented: “I’m delighted to be returning to Kingfisher after a decade that has seen technology change the world, especially in retail. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on the foundations Kingfisher has established.”
