Starship Technologies brings delivery robots to central Milton Keynes

US-based Starship Technologies has launched its robot delivery service in central Milton Keynes.

Robots will now deliver lunch to workers (using Starship’s mobile app) from such local vendors as Peels Juice Bar, Pepes Piri Piri, Bandit Street Food, Maaya Indian and Legend One Sushi Bar. More merchants will be added throughout March.

This builds on the service going live in other areas across MK, including Monkston, Emerson Valley and Bletchley, during which time Starship has worked with the likes of Tesco and Co-op. It’s the first time that robot delivery has been made available in the centre of a UK town.

Andrew Curtis of Starship says: “We’ve seen huge surges in demand since we started operating in Milton Keynes two years ago. We’re excited that both residents and workers can now enjoy this low cost and convenient benefit in the centre of Milton Keynes, and we hope that it will make the town an even more attractive place to work in the future.”
