La Perla makes move to BigCommerce online platform

La Perla has teamed with BigCommerce to relaunch its online presence. 

“Ada Masotti had always dreamed of starting an atelier of corsetry in the name of Italian luxury. She launched La Perla in a small laboratory in Bologna, Italy, in 1954, and the brand took off quickly,” BigCommerce said in a LinkedIn post

“La Perla lead the charge in women's fashion throughout the flower power of the 1960s, the women's rights movement of the 1970s, and beyond. We're thrilled to see how the brand will continue to evolve with support from our e-commerce platform.”

Simon Clarke

Late last year, Simon Clarke took on the role of Digital and Technology Transformation Director at La Perla.

He was previously Founder and Director of supply chain tech venture Indigo Ox. His CV also includes stints at Oxford University Press (Group Supply Chain Director) and Enotria Winecellars (Supply Chain and IT Director).

Pascal Perrier

In 2018, investment firm Sapinda appointed former Burberry chief Pascal Perrier as Group CEO at La Perla. Perrier also become an equity investor in the business.

It was bought by Sapinda in February 2018 who set in motion a restructuring and turn-around of the brand. Further details here.
