Customer insights veteran Phil Tysoe makes move to Whitbread

Phil Tysoe has joined Whitbread as Head of Insight and Engagement.

He was previously at Sainsbury’s where he served as Head of General Merchandise and Clothing Insight. 

Prior to that he was Customer and Market Insight Controller at Argos. He also spent over 13 years at Comet Group, holding such roles as Head of Insights and Space Planning Manager.

Whitbread’s brands include Premier Inn, Beefeater and Brewers’ Fayre. Until last year, it owned Costa Coffee but sold it to The Coca Cola Company.

All of its hotels, pubs and restaurants are temporarily closed in light of coronavirus guidance from the UK government.

The company has to date donated over 27 tonnes of food to charity, the majority of which will go to FareShare as part of its new partnership with the organisation.
