Pornhub launches Scrubhub site amid coronavirus lockdown

Adult entertainment e-commerce platform Pornhub has introduced a popup site called Scrubhub, encouraging people to wash their hands properly and therefore limit the spread of the coronavirus.

“You've gotten dirty on Pornhub, now it's time to get CLEAN on Scrubhub (@scrubhubtv). We have partnered with @aniacopian and @suzyshinn to bring you this. Make sure to buy an invisible bar of soap, all donations go to @InvHandsDeliver and @FrontlineFoods,” the company tweeted yesterday.

The parody site will feature hand washing videos by both models and everyday people – you can apply to be featured here – as well as livestream takeovers with musicians, comedians, and other performers.

“We thought this presented a unique opportunity for Pornhub to bring some joy to something that has become so mundane and repetitive,” VP Corey Price comments.

“Sometimes lighthearted content can be cathartic and help foster a sense of social cohesion. Let’s all come together and do our part to stay safe and ultimately defeat this virus.”

Free stuff

Pornhub’s Pornhub Apparel online store, meanwhile, is giving people the chance to win free Stayhomehub swag.

It recently launched the range of coronavirus lockdown-related products, with all collection sales going to the WHO Solidarity Response Fund. Over the past week, it has been running a Twitter competition involving free items, most recently a water bottle.

Check out the online store here and, to quote Pornhub Apparel, stay home during the coronavirus outbreak, look great and help those in need. You can purchase the likes of mugs, caps, pillows, t-shirts, socks and phone cases.
