Retail tech veteran Alan Morris joins Retail247 Consulting

Retail Assist co-founder Alan Morris is taking on the role of Non-Executive Director at IT consultancy Retail247.

Martin Schofield, Founder and CEO, Retail247, says: “Alan brings a wealth of retail experience and credibility to the table. His knowledge and track record will be vital as we move to our next chapter and I look forward to working alongside him.”

Morris started his first technology business, Compass, in 1995 and then jointly founded Retail Assist in 1999. He led the company’s development over 18 years as CEO and then Chairman before exiting in 2017 following a private equity backed management buy-out.

“I have known Martin for many years. In fact, he has been my client on two occasions whilst with Burberry and Harvey Nichols. He has an excellent understanding of retailing and his approach to driving change is something I have always been impressed with,” he comments.

“The retail sector is re-inventing itself based upon changing consumer demands and supply chain options. I believe that Retail247 has the experience and solutions to help retailers not only adapt to change, but also to benefit and grow as a result of it. I can’t wait to start.”
